Secondary Schools Programmes
Wild things! provides a number of Wilderness Skills
and Bushcraft Programmes for secondary schools in the North
of Scotland – Moray, the Cairngorms and the Highlands.
Environmental education activities and bushcraft are proven
ways to build life skills, whilst spending time outdoors
improves mental and physical health.
Our programmes are aimed at children of all abilities,
and are particularly beneficial for kinesthetic
learners (those that learn best through physical
activity) and those who struggle in mainstream
education. Our courses range from short residential
camps to a longer term programme working with the
school so that young people can obtain a nationally
recognised qualification.
“Green exercise, outdoor activity and environmental
volunteering improve young people's wellbeing and
personal responsibility as well as maximising
employment chances.”
